About Calgary was founded in 1996.

The Internet as we know it was still fairly young. Search engines were not very useful at the time. Our Internet access customers were having difficulty finding local Calgary web sites.

That is why About Calgary was born, About Calgary has grown and changed a lot since the early days.

Now with our brand new v2.0 web site we can offer so much more to Calgary and area residents.

The major policy that still has not changed since day one in 1996 is we provide Calgary and area web sites one free link to their web site.

The Internet has changed a lot over the years and as such About Calgary is changing along with it.

We now provide Feature Links and banner advertising for the first time in our history.
